Street

Mattyshack got some of the my top 5 members together for dinner at Susan Feniger’s newly opened Street. Located in the former Highland Grounds space, Street is "a virtual museum of street food, snacks and savories from every part of Asia". It was great. Really fun environment and everyone there seemed to have a good attitude; super helpful and friendly.

Though we tried a bit of everything, the appetizers are where it’s at. Entrees were good, dessert was OK, but neither were as impressive as the apps.

If you go (and you should) try and request Parker as your waiter. He was great. Heather the hostess is really nice too.

And by ALL means, do not leave without trying the Kaya Toast (a uniquely Singapore experience: toasted bread spread thick with coconut jam; served with a softboiled egg drizzled in dark soy and white pepper). It was one of Parker's glowing recommendations and unanimously one of our party's favorites.
